Proceed with the following steps to set Galaxy DNS's servers as the default DNS servers in Windows 11. A similar method can be used in previous versions of Windows.
- Open the Settings app.
- Navigate to the Network and Internet section.
- Choose the network interface that is connected to the Internet (ex. Wireless, Ethernet).
- Click the Edit button under DNS Server Assignment.
- Enable IPV4 and enter 136.244.84.82 as the Preferred DNS and Alternate DNS server.
- Enable IPV6 and enter 2001:19f0:6c00:1ff3:5400:4ff:fe95:b03 as the Preferred DNS and Alternate DNS server.

Click the Save button.
You're done! Now your Windows applications will use Galaxy DNS by default.
Proceed with the following steps to set Galaxy DNS's servers as the default DNS servers in macOS 14 (Sonoma). A similar method can be used in previous versions of macOS.
- Open the Settings app.
- Navigate to the Wi-Fi section.
- Click the details button.
- Go to the DNS section.
- Replace the DNS servers (if any) in the list with 136.244.84.82 and optionally 2001:19f0:6c00:1ff3:5400:4ff:fe95:b03 .
You're done! Now your macOS applications will use Galaxy DNS by default.
Proceed with the following steps to set Galaxy DNS's servers as the default DNS servers in Ubuntu Desktop 22.04. A similar method can be used in previous versions of Ubuntu.
- Open the Settings app.
- Click on the netowrk interface that is connected to the Internet.
- Click the settings button.
- In the IPV4 tab, turn off the Automatic switch and enter 136.244.84.82 in the DNS field.
- Optionally, in the IPV6 tab, turn off the Automatic switch enter 2001:19f0:6c00:1ff3:5400:4ff:fe95:b03 in the DNS field.
- Click the Apply button.
You're done! Now your Ubuntu applications will use Galaxy DNS by default.
To configure our DNS servers on a generic distribution of Linux, you can add the following lines to your /etc/resolv.conf file.
nameserver 136.244.84.82
nameserver 2001:19f0:6c00:1ff3:5400:4ff:fe95:b03
Save the file and you're done!
- Go to the app settings.
- From the Privacy and Security menu, click on the Security section.
- Turn on "Use secure DNS."
- From the "Select DNS Provider" dropdown choose "Add custom DNS service provider" and enter https://glaxydns.org .
- Go to the app settings.
- From the Netowrk Settings menu, click on the Settings button.
- Turn on "Enable DNS over HTTPS."
- Select Use Provder: Custom and then enter https://glaxydns.org .
